I know I am going to get it from many a reader for posting this blog, but here goes...

I watched the beginning of Oprah's Legend's Ball special on TV last night. I wasn't planning on it, but it came on when I sat down and turned on the tube. Before I knew it I was watching intently and getting all teary and being generally silly. I yelled at my roommate for trying to change the channel.

I am not an Oprah follower (I don't tune into her show regularly and I certainly don't buy her books or her magazine or any of the other junks she peddles) but there's something about her. Perhaps it's witchcraft, perhaps it's just good marketing, perhaps it's just me being ridiculous, but Oprah has a power over women (myself included) that is unexplainable.

Now that I am reflecting on the show, it wasn't good at all. It was just Oprah talking about a party that she threw that probably cost more than I will make in three lifetimes. It was a load of crap featuring all the usual suspect celebrities.

So why did I watch so much of it? That is the mystery that is Oprah. It's disturbing - yes. But will it likely change? No. You guys will just have to learn to live with it (or take her down in a grand expose - I know a few men that are already plotting that one).

Frank Rich and his book was touted on OPrah today.

I remember reading a review about it and how I liked it and how I thought alot of the tricks the white house powers that be used in the media, the slogans the emtional stuff, the staged shots, the associating their actions and themselves with intangible good words like Patriotic, is the same thing Oprah does with her show.

The media is being used as a weapon against people's minds and souls for political reasons and in OPRah's case to push the new age agenda and sell things and ideas she didn't even come up with, she just associates herself with, their bye creating a brand name.

By having a show and associating herself with "The truth" she has created her OPrah brand as someone who only tells the truth.

So she takes Rich's book and touts it on tv and has "The truth" on the back drop and attacks the white house.

When I read about Frank Rich's book I thought I really like this book it sees right through the media tricks and I thought what a great source book I could use as an example of what OPrah does too in the way of using the media as a weapon to basically controll people same tricks the white house uses.

And what does she do?

She uses the book and points the finger to someone else who uses psychology and images and ideas to control people ,and associates herself and her brand name with the truth.

Today, 10/16/06 Le Oprah had a show on stories written by regular women that Glamour magazine made into movies.

Interesting one of them was about a nurse that worked with old people. Because that is what one of her victims does. One of the victims is a nurse that works with old people.

So the other stuff is just icing on the cake, gives it that razzle dazzle.

OPrah had moms around the world. Interesting one of the 6 slaves who is a mom went to India, China and the country where the Dhali Llama was no doubt to try and get some peace. But I think they followed her there because she didn't look all that peaceful and relaxed when she came back like she should have. And she is a mom. Get the play on words? Moms around the world.

What I found very interesting was what Le Oprah said:

"Countries are built on the backs of women, you should be proud to be this woman"

Then she showed a woman in Africa walking up and down these horrid roads carrying things for people. To eak out a living.

If my theory is correct, she is really saying:

You should be proud that we are using you to build up the country (like most masons they have an outward of appearance to help others) by being used on the OPrah show. And making her rich (like the masons they do things craftily to enrich themselves off of other people).

She is talking to her slaves. "You should be proud to be this woman" a woman whose back is being used to build up the country, (And enrich me, one of the elitest rich).
