'Stars' Wasn't Torture

Anyone who knows me is fully aware that there's nothing I hate more than karaoke and vocalists in general. American Idol is my kryptonite. So I wasn't all that enthusiastic about covering the Stars Of Bethlehem competition last night.

All said and done, it really wasn't that bad.  It's still not something I'd go out of my way to see, but all eight singers had at least some talent and the thing was conducted with such efficiency (except for a few script-related flubs in the beginning) that it wasn't as drawn-out and painful as it easily could have been.

Congrats to everyone who participated, especially little Rebecca Heller who took the top honors.  Check out full videos of performances from last night here (hey, I didn't spend all that time there for nothing, so click the damn thing!).
