If you've heard the news at all lately, you're aware that a big terrorist plot was supposedly just foiled in London's Heathrow airport. The suspects were apparently planning on combining otherwise benign liquids and/or gels to form explosives. They arrested a bunch of people and shut down the airport for a while, but flights are finally starting to slowly move again.
The thing is, now security at airports all over the place are prohibiting bringing any liquids or gels in carry-on luggage, including shampoo, hair gel, beverages, etc. No drinks? What does that mean for people taking flights with fewer and fewer amenities? I really hope the airlines step up and start providing better, free beverage service if they're going to take my water bottle away. I understand it's all in the name of making ourselves safer, but you do have to question where to draw the line sometimes...
