Dessert Dream

I went to the Feast Of Sweets at Candlelight on Sunday and it was AWESOME! If you didn't check it out you totally missed out (until next year, at least). It was $12 to get in, and at first I was worried that I wouldn't get $12 worth of enjoyment. It turned out that I got so much more.

When I thought of desserts samples, I was picturing old, crumbled pieces of cookies and cakes. That was not even close. There were whole cakes cut up into birthday party size pieces, plates and plates of cookies, candies of all kinds and even a chocolate fountain to dip all sorts of fruits and other crap in.

I went around and around and around the room and I still felt like I didn't make a dent in the options. After about an hour I was so full that I just wanted to sit down and go to sleep, but after a short rest at home I wished that I had gotten my hand stamped to go back. The event was four hours and there were lots of people just soaking up the time, chilling with their friends and lots of sweet, sweet desserts.

This event - put on by PBS  - is a MUST DO when it comes up again. CHECK OUT MY PHOTOS.
